Belize Student Project

April 22 , 2009

Why Belize? Why Dental?

Last Spring we heard about Global Outreach Mission's plan to provide dental care on the east cost of Belize. Independence and the surrounding villages are 100 miles from the nearest dental office. Most local residents have never been to a dentist and , as a result, oral health is a regional crisis. Our clinic will become the southern most dental facility in the region.

Tanzania Student Project

April 22 , 2009

After recent government mandates requiring student graduation from secondary schools the Catholic Diocese of Same has identified the need for a technical college to be built in the Same Region. An estimated 14,000 students in the Region will graduate from secondary school in 2010 and there are limited choices to further their education. By building only the sixth technical college in the country the Catholic Diocese of Same will provide 1,000 students the opportunity to continue their studies in construction management, hotel management, accounting, business, computer technologies, mechanical technologies and agriculture technologies. The campus will be open to students from all parts fo Tanzania.
